Meulaboh – Central Board of Experts of the Indonesian Muslim Intellectuals Association (ICMI), Prof. Dr. Ir Teuku Abdullah Sany, MEng, stressed that Aceh must rise through the people’s agricultural industry and halal food production.

“Aceh cannot be like this anymore, there are still many poverty and unemployment figures. I have been in and out of the village for several days, I am sad to see that there are still many poor people with unliveable houses, “Teuku Abdullah Sany said in a press release received in Meulaboh on Wednesday.

For this reason, he hopes that ICMI Aceh cannot remain silent and must play an active role in getting involved in efforts to improve the welfare of the community.

The Professor of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) also promised to help bring the people’s agricultural technology and halal food production to Aceh and its experts, in order to encourage and improve the people’s economy.

All resources are in Aceh, according to Teuku Abdullah Sany, currently in good quality. The fact of poverty in Aceh, he said, is really very surprising so there must be technological innovation interventions to revive the Aceh economy.

Meanwhile, Chairman of ICMI Aceh Prof. Dr. Farid Wajdi MA said that Aceh’s current position in the worst ranking of intolerance will have an influence in many sectors, including investment, tourism, and others.

He claimed to agree with Teuku Abdullah Sany who stressed that Aceh must rise, must progress with rapid economic growth.

“With the extraordinary natural wealth and Aceh’s enormous finance, Aceh must advance. The Aceh government must strive to reduce poverty as low as possible. It must be under two digits, “added Farid Wajdi.

The discussion was also attended by Prof. Yusni Sabi, Prof. Syafei Ibrahim, Dr. Taqwaddin Husin, Dr. Teuku Safir, Dr. Sofyan Gani, Dr. Bustami, Azwar Umri, Fauzi Umar, Tgk Jarimin, Teuku Kamaruzzaman, Syarifah Rahmatullah, Naimah Hasan
