Banda Aceh – The Aceh Regional Police Joint Team succeeded in securing a tiger skin seller in Bener Meriah on Tuesday 31 December 2019 at around 12.00 WIB.
That was conveyed by the Head of Public Relations of the Aceh Regional Police, Kombes Pol. Ery Apriyono, S.I.K., M. Si, in his press release to this media, Thursday 2 January 2020.
“The seller of the tiger skin initials WS bin S (30), a resident of Bintang Bener Village, Permata District, Bener Meriah,” said the Head of Public Relations.
The Head of Public Relations said that the perpetrators were secured by a joint team of Aceh Regional Police from the Sub Directorate of Ditreskrimsus led by AKP Fadillah and Bres Meriah Police Satreskrim personnel led by Ipda Lutfi.
“Before securing the perpetrators, the day before Monday 30 December 2019, the officers undercovered by pretending to be a tiger skin buyer and a sale and purchase transaction had occurred at a price of 90,000,000 (ninety million rupiah) in Bale Atu Village, Bukit Bener Meriah District , “Said Head of Public Relations.
Head of Public Relations said, from the perpetrators of the officer securing evidence in the form of 1 sheet of Sumatran tiger skin, bones, fangs and skulls of Sumatran tigers and 1 unit of green suzuki escudo.
To the offender the officer claimed to have found the tiger skin from someone with the initial K alias T (40) who is a resident of Bener Meriah.
“The perpetrators are suspected of having committed the crime of conservation of the living natural resources and their ecosystems,” concluded Commissioner Pol Ery Apriyono. (R)
